Bonne Ducasse à tertous

On Trinity Sunday every year, the people of Mons, Belgium, circle the city with the relics of Saint Waltrude upon a golden carriage. The celebration stirs from its slumber a whirling dragon. Ready to meet the dragon is Saint George, who fights the beast with three colored spears in the heart of the city. Saint George is triumphant with the blast of a firearm, and the beast is felled.
